Q: Are appointments necessary?
A: We highly recommend making appointments in advance, but feel free to call or walk-in as we may have an opening or cancellation.
Q: Do you do men’s hair or kid’s hair?
A: Yes! We do hair for all genders and ages. Each of our stylists has different specialties so we recommend calling ahead and checking availability for stylists experienced in working with short hair and/or children’s hair.
Q: Do you do nails or waxing?
A: No, We do not offer these services. There is a nail salon directly next to us so feel free to stop by there after getting your hair done!
Q: Where are you located?
A: We are located on South University, in Shoppes Of Rolling Hills, next to Vicky Bakery. For our exact address and hours, click here.
Q: Can I bring my friends and/or family with me to my appointment?
A: We kindly ask not to bring any extra guests with you unless you are under 18 with a parent/guardian, as space is limited.
Q: What methods of payment do you accept?
A: We accept all major credit cards, cash, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Salon Mixx gift certificates. Cash or Zelle tips are preferred.
Q: Are deposits required?
A: Yes! For all appointments lasting 3 hours or more, we ask for a deposit either in-person or over the phone. A deposit is like a “reservation fee” that holds your spot on our calendar just for you, making sure our spaces are reserved for serious parties only.
Because our stylists set aside significant time just for your appointment, the deposit helps protect their time by preventing last-minute cancellations or no-shows that could have been offered to other clients. It ensures everyone’s appointment runs smoothly.
If you need to cancel or reschedule to another day, please let us know at least 48 hours in advance to keep your deposit.
Q: Can I get a quote over the phone?
A: Due to the various needs associated with individual projects, we're not able to quote a specific price for most services over the phone. However, we do offer complimentary in-person consultations and we can give you many options for pricing. To view a list of our starting prices, click here.
Q: Do you offer gift certificates?
A: Yes! Salon treatments are the perfect gift. Gift certificates are sold in-person at the salon. Gift certificates do not include gratuities.
Q: What color line do you use and which brands do you sell?
A: We use Color Design permanent color, Redken demi-permanent color, and Evo Staino and Pulp Riot vivids/semi-permanent color. We carry Lanza and IGK products for home hair-care.
Q: What is the re-do policy?
A: We understand from time to time a client may want an adjustment on their service. We happily bring back our guests to correct our services within 7 days of their visit. It is always encouraged that unhappy guests return to their original stylist. At Salon Mixx, we 100% guarantee our work, don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly.
